Ingredients.Bacon,Cheesy Egg Toasted Sandwich.
6 Bacon, cured, lower sodium , slices.
4 piece sliced whole wheat bread.
2 tsp. Margarine spread, 80% fat.
1 1/2 cup liquid egg substitute.
1/3 cup Milk, non-fat/skimmed.
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper.
1/8 tsp. Worcestershire sauce.
2 pieces cheese, slices.
1 cooking oil, spray.
Directions for Bacon Cheesy Egg Breakfast toastie.
1 places the bacon two paper towels and cook in the microwave on high for 3 minutes.
2 preheat a frying pan/skillet on medium heat.
3 Spray the skillet with cooking spray.
4 Mix together the egg substitute, skimmed milk, black pepper, and Worcester sauce.
5 Cook for 2 minutes, lifting the cooked side up to ensure the uncooked mixture can get cooked underneath.
6 Remove from heat, cut and shape the cooked egg for the 2 slices of bread.
7 place each cheese slices on of each bread size eggs, cover, and let sit for 1 minute to let the cheese melt.
8 Toast the bread and spread a thin cover of margarine over each piece.
9 Share the cooked egg and cheese slices on 2 slices of toast.
10 Add the crispy cooked bacon on the 2 slices of toast and set 2 halves on top of 4 pieces of toast.
11 Put another piece of toast on top and enjoy.
Turkey bacon,can be substituted for a lower fat content.
Shredded cheddar cheese can be used in place of cheese slices.
