Homemade Great Soup
Turkey soup is normally made after the celebration dinner all the leftovers uneaten potatoes vegetables and meat can be made into this easy wonderful soup,in addition to what has been left if there is not much leftover you can make it up with the following.
Use a 5 quart slow cooker or crockpot
Ingredients for this homemade turkey soup.
3 quarts of water.
4 chicken stock cubes.
1 (10 oz.) can chopped tomatoes.
1 c. celery, diced.
1/2 c. carrots, diced.
1 lg. turnip.
1/2 c. onions.
1/4 c. fresh parsley.
1/2 tsp. salt and fresh black pepper to taste
½ tsp dried marjoram.
½ tsp dried Basil.
1 turkey carcass and bones.
Directions for this homemade turkey soup.
Place everything in crock pot. (Just break the carcass, add the bones.)
Make sure when all the contents and the water along with the stock cubes crushed have been added there is still at least 1/3 of space left in your pot
Add and secure the lid.
Cook 7-8 hours on low heat setting.
It is important that after the cooking is completed that all the bones are taken out and strip off the meat before returning the meat to the pot.
When all the soup mixture has been combined again into your soup pan retain the quantities in the potions you require to heat up to boil again before serving. Fresh Crusty bread rolls are ideal with this meal.
Any the remaining soup can be frozen in the quantities you require for later use.
