How to Cook Lamb,Easy Braised Lamb Chops with Leaks and Celery Slow cooked
With Leaks and Celery,Carrot, Onion, Butter and Stock.
This Lamb chops recipe is an easy to cook meal with fresh vegetables is healthy food you can vary using different herbs and with various lamb chop recipes you can adapt to make your own personal special version.
INGREDIENT for Braised Lamb Chops Slow Cooked
2 lb (900g) Breast of Lamb/Mutton cut into chops.
1 Medium Carrot.
1 Large Onion.
2 sticks of Leaks.
2 sticks of Celery.
1 Clove of Garlic crushed.
1 oz (25g) Butter.
2 tablespoon Mint Jelly.
1 dessertspoon Flour.
1 pint Lamb Stock or stock cube liquid.
Add just a little Salt & Black Pepper.
350ml about (1/2 a bottle) red wine.
Prepare and slice the vegetables into small pieces and fry them in the butter until they are still crunchy almost tender.
Then empty the pan of vegetables and olive oil into a large casserole oven dish with a tightly fitting lid.
Fry the chops in a separate pan with a little olive oil on each side until nicely browned.
Put the browned chops on to the vegetables. contents in casserole dish.
Spoon in the mint jelly.
Add the wine to the casserole dish contents.
Sprinkle flour and stir to separate any lumps.
Cover the dish with the closely fitting top to stop any liquid overflowing.
Place in a moderate oven and bake at (375F, 190C, Mark 4) for one hour.
Take the chops out of the casserole dish and place on a hot dish Spoon the vegetables onto the hot plates.
Carefully take your braised chops and place on top of the vegetables.
Skim the gravy and take off any excess fat and pour your gravy on your chops and around your plates.
Garnish with a few fresh herbs, mint leafs,or Basel leafs, or stems thyme or rosemary.
Serve for 4 persons.
