Beef Curry with the added aromatic spices is just delicious

There is nothing to beat the taste of a homemade beef curry.

It is now acceptable to use a proprietary brand of curry paste and pre prepared ingredients due to all the time and effort that can be involved with the preparations of all the ingredients.

A curry made from the proper spices were all the spices have time to bend and merge can be well worth while and a very special meal. Here is an authentic recipe which I think is the best and I can recommend that you try it.

If you have a slow cooker then great because using a slow cooker really brings out all the flavours and cooking the meat slowly makes it so much tenderer and seems to intensify that meaty flavour.

2 tablespoons of flour.
2 tablespoon of curry powder.
2 teaspoon of cumin.
2 teaspoon turmeric.
1 teaspoon ground ginger.
1/2 teaspoon of salt.
2 chopped onions
3 garlic clove, mashed.
2 tablespoon of oil.
800g of stewing beef cubed.
1 sliced red pepper.
150ml of beef stock.
400g can of peeled chopped tomatoes.
A dash of Tabasco sauce.
2 tablespoon of lemon juice.
3 cooking apples, cored and roughly chopped.
25g of sultanas.
25g of cashew nuts.

Directions and how to make the Beef Curry:

Mix the flour, curry powder, cumin, turmeric, ginger and salt.

Place into a large frying pan on med heat and gently cook the onions and garlic in the oil until they just softened but do not turn completely brown.

Mix the beef cubes in the seasoned flour and then cook all sides stirring them in the pan until they just turn brown to seal in the juices.

Then stir in the remaining flour, and all the remaining ingredients except the nuts.

Transfer all the contents into the slow cooker with all the beef stock, and cook on the low setting for at least 6 hours. Add the nuts just before serving.

Because everything has been cooked really slowly,and because of thisthe flavours are far more intencified with so much more great taste.

Serves 4 persons

Serve the curry with boiled rice (Brown rice is better for you) along with mango chutney for a fantastic beef curry meal.
