Garlic Broccoli Mash Potato & Grilled Cheddar Cheese

4 florets of broccoli
2 lb. peeled and diced potatoes.
1/2 to 1 head garlic cloves, peeled and mashed.
6 tbsp. butter.
1/2 a cup of grated cheddar cheese.
1/2 to 3/4 cup creme fraiche/sour cream. and milk,half and half

Directions for Garlic Broccoli Mash Potato & Grilled Cheddar Cheese

  1. Cover potatoes with water sufficient to cover in a heavy-bottomed pan.
  2. Cover and bring to a boil,reduce heat slightly and simmer until potatoes are fork-tender.
  3. Take out the potatoes and set aside.
  4. Put you broccoli into the pan and bring to the boil again when just tender /crunchy take out chop fine and set aside drain the liquid.
  5. Return empty pan to heat and add butter, leaving until butter melts.
  6. In a separate pan, bring cream or milk to boil (do not allow to curdle; remove from heat immediately when it starts to boil).
  7. Mash potatoes in the pan with the heated butter.
  8. Beat in the butter and adding in the chopped green veg, half&half,of the creme fraiche/ milk, mashed garlic, and salt and pepper,and whip up until potatoes are smooth and fluffy.
  9. Add all the contents to a baking dish sprinkle over the cheddar and place under a hot grill,when the cheese has melted and turns a golden brown take out and serve immediately.
