Ingredients for this Easy Chicken Casserole recipes dish
1 2-1/2 to 3 lb chicken jointed.
1-16oz can chicken broth.
3 chopped onions or leeks.
3 carrots, sliced thin.
3 celery stalks, chopped in small chunks.
1/4 teaspoon. Black fresh ground pepper.
1 bay leaf.
3 teaspoons. Parsley.
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram or basil.
8 cups of water.
Directions for this Easy Chicken Recipe meal.
Place jointed chicken in crock pot adding all the vegetables,herbs and seasoning.
Add the water Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours (high 5 to 6 hours).
Remove all the chicken cover and allow to cool enough to strip away in small chunks all the meat from any bones before returning the chicken pieces to the crock pot.
Empty the chicken broth over the contents of the slow cooker and stir to combine.
Return the crock pot securing the lid and cook for a further Taste before serving and add further seasoning if required.
As an extra consider adding just a few steamed or lightly boiled(crispy) veg like broccoli,green beans and sliced(long) carrots to garnish this easy great tasty dish.
You can serve this with noodles rice or pasta.
