Classic Virgin Sangria Punch Recipes

This so called Virgin Sangria Recipe was named after one of the early champagne type sparkling wines blended with a new rare variety of Spanish grapes when blended produced a sparkling wine equal some said to cru champagne.

Now that Champagne is readily available and and economical we have included it but some Spanish Cava wins are very good

Makes 12 good glasses.

2 bottles dry champagne.

1/2 cup raspberry concentrate.

1 cup vodka.

1 cup Brandy.

2 bottles dry champagne.

The night before use, chill the ginger ale and the dry champagne.

Combine the raspberry concentrate, Vodka, brandy and pineapple juice in a bowl, cover, and chill overnight.

Before serving, combine and mix all ingredientsinto a large punch bowladd in the ice cubes you require and pourin gently the Champagne and serve.


Or this Traditionalrecipe without the brandy makes 12 glasses

350cl vodka.

1 litre unsweetened pineapple juice.

1 litre unsweetened cranberry juice.

2 litre oz ginger ale.

1/2 cup confectionary sugar.

2 bottles dry champagne refrigerate over night.

Mix all ingredients together into a large punch bowl cover and place in a fridge overnight.

Mix with plenty of ice.

Lastly add the Champagne and serve.
