1.5 kg (3 lb) chicken pieces.

Rinse the chicken pieces and pat dry.
Season with salt, pepper and cinnamon.
Place green pepper, onions, celery and garlic in slow cooker.
Add seasoned chicken pieces, pour in mushrooms, sherry and tomatoes, stir well.
Cover and cook on Low setting for 5-8 hours, or High 3 – 4 hours.
Remove chicken pieces, keep warm.
Mix a smooth paste of flour and water until it is sticky then mix in a little butter or olive oil before adding more flour until your mixture becomes mouldable.
Roll these in your hands into ball the size of a medium to large plum before stirring each gently into the slow cooker.
Return the chicken to the pot, cover and cook on high setting for 15-20 minutes or until gravy is thickened.
Boiled brown rice is best for this dish(do not over boil the rice) .
Cooking time: 5-8 hours on Low,
